Casey Haymes

writer / educator

Casey Haymes is a writer and educator who lives in Santa Fe. His stories have appeared in Fence, Post Road, LIT, Flash, and elsewhere. At The New School, he teaches creative writing and research in the Parsons First-Year and Creative Writing departments. He was a finalist for The Missouri Review’s Jeffrey E. Smith Editors’ Prize and was awarded residencies from VCCA, Hambidge, Jentel, and Santa Fe Art Institute. He earned his MFA in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College, where he served as Editor of the program’s literary journal LUMINA.
